My research is very much rooted in theory, but my day-to-day involves a lot of coding. The computer is my laboratory. At the heart of the questions I answer is how can we infer truth? Data is polluted by random noise, and I work on distinguishing between the two.

Investigating the approaches to this question will depend on the availability of information. By working in an abstract framework, the developments that motivate my dissertation will have broad implications for scientists in all disciplines. While sometimes it appears I have been supporting an art habit with a doctoral program in mathematics, I did have a goal in mind when beginning this pursuit.

(Thanks for reading! 😆)
